Zach Cregger you brilliant freak!! Such an entertaining watch. Zach Cregger really proves again that he knows how to handle horror. Weapons doesn’t follow the traditional three-act structure—it’s non-linear, chapter-based, and throws us straight into the chaos. And it works. There’s no spoon-feeding, no overly neat setup. You’re just dropped in and left to feel your way through. It drags a bit in the middle, but the final act pulls things back hard. Cregger’s direction ties it all together: the storytelling, the visual tone, the effects—it all feels cohesive. You can tell there’s a strong vision here. It’s ambitious, messy in a good way, and keeps you engaged the whole time. Smart structure, great pacing (mostly), and strong direction. A bold, effective horror film that isn’t afraid to try something different.

the trauma for all those children holy shit, i dont think i would be able to handle this even if i go to therapy. that shit will haunt them for the rest of their lives and that in there is the real trauma of it. alex, what sweet smart boy who did not deserve to experience all of that shit or anyone else. i love love love the switching of perspectives in this one until we got the whole picture through alex. incredible incredible cinematography too. i, however still dont get what gladys’s motive in doing all that bcs she said it would make her feel better but the better in question is unseen? but then again whatever stop these horrible people do horrible things even without any motive. also hated every single adult in here just all annoying and incompetent.

found it a bit underwhelming, the hype around it when it came out made me expect for more. the first half of the movie was pretty good, created a good horror movie setting, but the second half wasn't as great. i did really like alex's pov, i felt so bad for the kid the entire time.
Weapons

“Don't cross the salt line.“ Now I remember awhile back reading a review on IMDB where someone said ‘it is what longlegs should have been’ and after watching it I couldn’t agree more. Firstly for me, it isn’t a horror for me it is more thriller than anything else I can see why and where the horror element comes into it, just as a whole doesn’t feel like a horror. I do however think the story and each characters being broken down and separated than all coming together piece by piece is a very unique way of story telling that I personally have never come across. I thought the actors all played their roles well and the environments were again there to add more of the horror element and I would say it succeeded in that. My only gripe is you see Gladys but not really get much of a backstory or much else she turns up and is just there so found myself having a few questions about her backstory but maybe that adds to the horror I’d definitely recommend to watch the movie and it is very unique and special in its own way just I wouldn’t say go into it expecting a full blown horror.
