The Frighteners
I've been wanting to watch this movie for years thanks to a video a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAeo5tIeUR4">Hats Off Entertainment and I'm so glad that I finally got to because this is one of my new favorite halloween (IT'S NOT HALLOWEEN ANYMORE I KNOW SHUT UP OMG) movies Michael J Fox is great in what I'm pretty sure was his last prominent leading role due to his Parkinson's setting in, the supporting cast of ghosts are incredibly fun, the VFX--while obviously antiquated today--offer a ton of charm from one of the first movies that Peter Jackson's Weta Digital worked on, and the movie is full of some genuinely creative scenes and concepts Peter Jackson pls go back to making projects like this I beg of you Also New Zealand is such a beautiful country, my god it's just so unique as a backdrop to a movie that's already unique in its own right
The Frighteners
takes a while to get going and has a lot of different things going on but it’s serviceable as a nice horror-comedy movie with those good old kind of sometimes outdated cgi effects
