Arlington Road
It loses some of its luster on rewatch since you know how everything pans out, but it’s still generally fun. Total 90s thriller. Having the terrorist be a home grown one radicalized by taxation has aged well. As the events of January 6th prove, they’re definitely not as smart in real life.

Writing on this was pretty suspect at times and the acting wasn’t great, but interesting plot made this a good watch. Heavy conspiracy type movie that had me guessing until the end and the ending was not what I was expecting (so writing on that front was fine). No standout performances, but there wasn’t much egregious acting either. If you’re looking for a more unknown movie to watch, give this a try. Classic botch job by the feds. 7.2
Arlington Road
really bleak and depressing look into the current state of the world, where mass shooters and nazis get groomed by the fanatical right into becoming their errand boys. Even before that, you’re seeing a Lynchian picture of fractured masculinity, Blue Velvet by way of MTV and CNN. If the world was like this in 1999, why didn’t we stop it?
