this had potential and then it just kept getting worse. acting was terrible. these people were so helpless. if the point was to piss me off with their ineptitude, the director succeeded. there was no point to any of this. no motive, no gotcha no nothing. if it was supposed to be just a mindless slasher, it wasn’t that either. wasn’t slashy enough. this was a nothing burger on a whole wheat bun.

Eu lembrava desse aqui ser melhor, mas depois de "Temos Vagas" e principalmente "Hush: A Morte Ouve", esse aqui decai muito. Principalmente quando você percebe que ele parece mais uma série de esquetes pautadas em uma construção isolada pra cada susto ou uma criação de tensão muito artificial. Os personagens são vazios e não é por serem apáticos que eles precisam ser qualquer coisa. Os assassinos tem um designe interessante, reciclando a estética do slasher oitentista com máscaras. O grande diferencial é que, diferente de Hush do Mike Flanagan, o mistério sobre os rostos desses vilões se mantém até o fim. Enquanto em Hush é mais um exercício de espaços e encenação, Os Estranhos se apoia em atitudes burras, personagens insossos e uma irreverência quanto a violência que não fede e não cheira. Existe uma composição de suspense interessante, mas que nunca te pega de fato. Ele começa e acaba igual o título sugere, estranho.

je suis pas vraiment déçu parce que c'était pas mauvais mais ça aurait pu être tellement mieux si les acteurs étaient un peut meilleurs et si la tension était aussi bien gérée que pendant le premier tiers du film
