Godzilla 2000: Millennium

"Godzilla está dentro de cada um de nós!" Um filme que poderia facilmente se chamar Godzilla Vs. Guerra dos Mundos. O medo do bug do milênio, um mundo que se tornou digital, o medo de que tudo seja deletado ou roubado, um cataclisma não somente físico, mas metafísico também. Acho incrível como o Japão está para a Ásia o que a Inglaterra foi para os países das Américas. O alienígena que cópia a forma do "monstro", mas que o mesmo é tão poderoso que ele se sobressai e a tentativa de cópia ou assimilação resulta em tragédia!

Godzilla 2000: Millennium

"Maybe Godzilla is inside each one of us..." *immediately cut to Godzilla blow-torching a circle into the city* First saw this 20 years ago and so remembered absolutely nothing, huzzah! This was a very good one, particularly in a side-by-side comparison with the American "not-really-a-Godzilla-movie" only a year earlier. The compositing and miniatures in this one are stellar. The late-90's CG is charming, and works remarkably well to enhance the practical effects and suits. Perhaps that's why I admire this one so much, that in spite of the digital trends the production is still *All In* on the guy-in-a-suit. Romper stomper creature fights, Internet paranoia, ham-fisted dialogue/human bullshit, it's got it all!
