“Nothing here is wonderful. It works. That's enough.” There’s not enough true space westerns out there. And I don’t mean ones that are “inspired”, but genuine High Noon westerns. Ones where the honorable sheriff is up against a ticking clock as the “bad guys” close in. That all happening in the vacuum of space makes it all the more novel. Also Connery as the John Wayne archetype…something that I didn’t know I needed.
