Manhattan Murder Mystery

This felt like the funny sibling to Husbands and Wives or Crimes and Misdemeanors. It was said that the role was first written for Mia Farrow, but I completely see how this was won over with Diane Keaton's infectious personality. We get to see a young and confident Angelica Huston, the usual neurotic fun from Woody and Diane in what is an all in fun classic and fun caper. What does it mean to save a marriage or destroy it? What does it take to propel love in the state that most satisfies us? Although the ending was a charming tribute to the classic Orson Welles' fillm, I felt corned out followed by a drastically obvious line from Woody that cheapened the whole film. But what an adventure, and a great revisit to Allen's work after seeing all the newer films. It's true, we, meaning me, "liked your earlier, funnier movies."
