I love watching nostalgic coming-of-age films. This one definitely hooked me from the start, but the love triangle subplot felt a bit off and didn’t resonate with me. Also, they could have done a much better job with the ending.

Really enjoyed this one. The turn towards melodrama in the final act doesn’t entirely work, but thanks to the very strong performances it gets further than it otherwise would. Gabriel LaBelle is really great here, Moose has little in common with Sammy Fabelman, and LaBella is fantastic. Kid’s got the juice. 2024 Ranked (https://boxd.it/rJ4dW)

the way i can say that this is oomf's film, iykyk. you know it's an adam rehmeier's film when there's a dining table scene. lowkey conor sherry looks like sophia lillis and the guy i know from nebraska looks like gab. jumpscared me how this was filmed in nebraska.
