The Honeymoon Killers

Okay, I thought I was completely original in thinking that this was something John Waters could've done, just more polished in shots, frames, and such fun characters. Absolutely wicked. There's a scene in which the duo cons the very first woman, where the newlywed is in the tub while Shirley Stoler and Tony Lo Bianco make out in the other room, and the camera swoops up to their shadows on the ceiling after the door is shut and I nearly gasped at how wonderful that was magically marked. A few have said it was slow-burn, but I thought the pacing was perfect for a docudrama, with the shifting power dynamics and wild thrill of it all. Although, at one point. It does do CAMP, and it's the hammer scene. Truly looked like it was straight out of a John Waters movie.
