White Men Can't Jump
White Men Can’t Jump is an offbeat comedy that I actually found myself interested in. While it may delve into familiar territory, whether it be race or sports, it’s still an entertaining film nonetheless. I probably wouldn’t have watched this film if my younger brother hadn’t put it on, but it was an entertaining film overall, so I can’t complain.

Now you starting to hear the music! Everyone’s 90s drip is just too goddamn hard, man. The vibrant color palette, the fits oozing personality, the altogether cool and confident way characters present themselves and most importantly of all: the hot guys wearing tanks that plunge below their tits. You just don’t get movies like this anymore. Wesley and Woody are too fucking good here and balance the other quite nicely. Their chemistry is magnetic, they’re both great with the comedy, and their physicality when playing street ball in aces. Seriously, I’m not a huge basketball fan but every time they played a game I was right in it with them and it was easy to follow along. It’s been a hot minute since sports film engaged me like this. WHITE MEN CAN’T JUMPis also easily one of the best films about friendship I’ve seen. Opening yourself up to the possibility of getting to know people different from yourself and discovering that despite the clear and overt differences, you have so much in common it’s a little scary? Beautiful. True to life. Reminds me of my own friendships. And of course, the main takeaway, the age old adage: bros before hoes‼️
