Always re-watching for Ursula or that Chef Louis-vs-Sebastian kitchen situation, but now I'm kinda just sitting here taking in the horizon of that once-new Disney dawn and all that would come of it.

If we could stay all day in the sun; just you and me, and I could be, part of your world!❞ ❝She really does love him, doesn't she, Sebastian?❞ · · ───── ·⋆⋅𖤓⋅⋆· ───── · · The Little Mermaid might not be my favourite of the Disney Princess films, but it's steeped heavily in nostalgia for me, and I still like it as much as I did as a kid. Although Ariel can be annoying at times during the first act, she's a sunny and loveable protagonist, and you can't help but root for her. Eric is a pretty good prince, too, and together they make a wonderful couple. Ursula is such an iconic villain, brimming with style and pizzazz in both her original sea witch and human forms. I love Sebastian and Flounder, too, some of the few animal companions in animated films that aren't brain-meltingly creepy or irritating. The music is absolutely gorgeous, especially the final choral reprise, and it pairs beautifully with the stunning 2D animation. A lovely film, overall, one I'll keep revisiting.
