Acho fascinante como o Collet-Serra tem uma trilogia indireta de aeroporto e terrorismo em tempos modernos. Talvez o que afaste esse de outros na mesma pegada é só a falta do Liam Neeson que faz sim falta, até porque o Taron Edgerton parece meio perdido, mas gosto como ele sustenta o pepino quando precisa ficar cara a cara com situações de risco maior e o exagero que as caras e bocas dele proporcionam é um desespero que beira o cômico, mas é muito divertido ainda quando vai pra algo mais frontal da ação. Gosto como existe essa construção de tensão usando espaço e tempo de uma forma mais literal e como isso impacta até a ação do filme. É a arma que não pode disparar muito se não ela derrete e explode, o que te pega de surpresa quando acontece, é a bomba que precisa ser meticulosamente precisa pra ser desarmado e o momento que capta todas essas idéias que é a cena do carro derrapando. É bom ver um diretor que ainda sabe fazer ação sem parecer alguém riscando passos em uma lista. Redescobrir diretores e ver como eles são bons é tão gostoso!

This wants to be the new Die Hard so much, and just like it tries to make us sympathize with a sexy macho guy with a position of power and violence. But the TSA suck as much as the cops (and maybe even more, seriously, fuck these airport clowns), so for the entire runtime, I wanted Jason Bateman to smoke that Paul Blart wanna be airport cop. It doesn’t help that the story is both cliched as hell and makes absolutely no sense.

A talentless fool saves the airport I haven’t seen such a stupid movie in ages. The script was obviously written by ChatGPT. The characters look utterly ridiculous with their awkward dialogues, as if they’re trying too hard to be taken seriously but fail miserably. On top of that, the film is riddled with so many plot holes and absurdities that it’s impossible to suspend disbelief. It feels more like a parody desperately trying to pass as a serious film.
