Beauty and the Beast
Film #5 of June 2016 Scavenger Hunt Task # 16: A Disney musical I honestly don't know why it took me so long to see this. Growing up, I watched Disney, but those were more Tarzan and The Lion King. Until recently, I hadn't even seen classics like Sleeping Beauty or Cinderella. Finally, I've decided to catch up on my missing childhood movies, Beauty and the Beast included. I'm so glad that I chose this for the criteria. There are so many other Disney musicals, but I thought I'd watch something new. And it was beautiful. The story is so simple, and I wondered why the film was an hour and a half, but as I got into the movie, the time seemed to fly by. The animation is stunning, as is the voice cast. It took me some time to realize Angela Lansbury was in it, since I really only know her from Sweeney Todd on Broadway. I can see why people love Beauty and the Beast so much. It's such a heartwarming tale with some fantastic music. I can't wait to see the live action version of this now, and hopefully they make it just as beautiful and entertaining as this one.

I want it more than I can tell!❞ · · ───── ·⋆⋅𖤓⋅⋆· ───── · · Beauty and the Beast is a beautiful retelling of the classic fairytale from Disney. Belle is a great princess, and the gradual development of her relationship with the Beast is done really well. I love the castle's servants, especially Lumière and Mrs. Potts, and as much as I hate Gaston, I have to admit he's a very good antagonist. The 2D animation is absolutely stunning, and I love the character designs and outfits for the most part, though the Beast's human form majorly sucks 💔, and the music is magical and stunning; though it's not my favourite of the Disney Princess films, Beauty and the Beast is a lovely experience.

It’s no masterpiece like the original movie but it’s still enjoyable. Kinda interesting to see a “What If” scenario. 10/10
