Peggy Sue Got Married
The Butterfly Effect (https://letterboxd.com/film/the-butterfly-effect/), except nothing happens. This might've been an almost decent movie if they hadn't cast Nicolas Cage as "the boyfriend". He looks like a 30-year-old pretending to be an 18-year-old, and he sounds like he needs a tissue. On that subject, 75% of the actors look like 30-year-olds playing teenagers, including Peggy Sue herself. It's just jarring to look at, unbelievably lazy, and really takes you out of the whole viewing experience. Just a boring, poorly acted, and witless film.

A warm hug of a film.

Nicolas Cage in soo fuunn in this omg, I get the hype now. Might bump it up to one of my favorite performances lol cuz every time I think about it, it brings me joy. To think I almost didn't watch this great film ahh. Don't get how it doesn't occupy more space in pop culture, that it's not referenced or quoted a lot when it has Cage taking lines and making them iconic, and funny scenes like that poem recitation or you know just the character Michael. There are moments, though rare, when Cage's Charlie (especially the older version) with a certain expression, voice or laugh reminds of Chalamet a lot. Also, it stars young Sofia Coppola which was unexpected.
